    Centre for Neglected Tropical Diseases (CNTD)
    The CNTD is the leading coordination centre for the global lymphatic filariasis elimination campaign. The centre helps countries to develop and implement interventions for lymphatic filariasis, schistosomiasis, and soil transmitted helminths as well as supporting operational research to inform decision making. The centre is based at the LSTM, and collaborates with institutions and governments across the globe.

    The Cochrane Infectious Diseases Group (CIDG) prepares systematic reviews on the benefits and harms of healthcare interventions for infectious diseases, particularly malaria, tuberculosis, diarrhoea, and tropical diseases. The editorial base is located at LSTM.

    Both infections affect tens of millions of people worldwide. The A•WOL Consortium aims to develop new drugs against river blindness and elephantiasis to provide alternative treatment for individuals and communities where current treatments are compromised by the risk of drug resistance or adverse events with co-infections.
