Clinical Services

Well Travelled Clinics (WTC) is a business of the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM), an acknowledged world leader in international health and tropical medicine. Using our specialist knowledge, our travel clinic has helped hundreds of thousands of travellers stay well whilst abroad since we started pre-travel consultations in the 1950’s. Drawing on our heritage of travel medicine, we offer a comprehensive and value for money ‘one stop’ pre-travel service including holiday vaccinations, malaria prophylaxis and up to the minute, country-specific travel advice.

Our unique ownership means that by taking your pre-travel needs from us, you can help to improve the health of developing countries as profits are reinvested back into WTC and LSTM to support the vital work we do to control disease worldwide. We are a founding member of the National Travel Health Network and Centre (NaTHNaC), the UK’s national body to promote clinical standards in travel medicine.  The NaTHNaC website offers further useful advice for travellers.

Post-travel
LSTM provides clinical services through the NHS for tropical medicine, both in-patient and out-patient. The out-patient clinic is on site and patients requiring in-patient care are admitted to the Regional Infectious Disease Unit.  Please note all post travel services are referral only.  If you are feeling unwell, please visit the General Public page.
