Level of funding
Awards will be made primarily on the basis of academic merit. The purpose of the awards is to support applicants who are unable to obtain the full tuition fee from other sources. Priority will be given to applicants who already have some funding in place, or have a clear expectation that this can be obtained, or can show evidence that they are actively searching for additional funds. Awards do not normally exceed 50% of the tuition fee and may be substantially less depending on the availability of funds. The DRH and the MSc Tropical Paediatrics have specially endowed funds that allow a very small number of fully funded scholarships to be offered for these programmes only. Scholarships are awarded for the relevant year/month of entry only and may not normally be transferred to a subsequent course. The School reserves the right to withdraw the offer of a scholarship if an applicant has not fully met the conditions of their offer of a place within one month of the programme commencing.

Timing of decisions
Applicants can expect to hear the outcome of their application within 4 weeks of the deadline date for applications. Applications received after the deadline date will be considered within 4 weeks of the date of submission.
